Ms. Kimberly Davidson: RVCC Founder, Administrator, and Full Time Artistic Director
Kimberly is the founding director of the Roanoke Valley Children’s Choir. She has served as both artistic director and administrative director of the Children’s Choir since 1987. Under her 37 years of direction, the choir has grown from 23 singers to a choral program including 140 children, ages 7-18 in four choirs.
Ms. Davidson’s goal as a director is to not only bring out the beauty in the music, but also the beauty in the child, and their capacity to find beauty and joy even during the most difficult of times. She is known for her warm smile, her serious work ethic and mostly for her sincere love for the choristers. Her combination of enthusiasm and love, for the children and music, make this not only her life’s work, but also her passion.
A graduate of Valparaiso University, Indiana, Kimberly briefly taught school choir classes and directed church choirs before founding the Roanoke Valley Children’s Choir in 1987. Ms. Davidson serves as adjudicator, guest director, and festival choral director on numerous occasions, recently directing the Georgia ACDA Honor Treble Honor Choir in 2017 and the Alabama ACDA Young Voices Festival in 2019.
Kimberly has a full schedule of private piano students along with her favorite occupation, the full time administrator and artistic director for the Roanoke Valley Children’s Choir. Kimberly is now serving her 37th year as director of the Roanoke Valley Children’s Choir.

Mrs. Kim Roudebush: "A" Choir Director
Mrs. Michelle Sublett: Treasurer
Ms. Susan Nixon: Music Librarian
Mrs. Nixon, the RVCC music librarian, oversees hundreds of musical octavos. Our music librarian is in charge of ordering music, cataloging, filling all the choir folders, making sure everyone has all the music they need, and then collects and files all music after the concerts and performances. Whether handing out music binders or collecting them, you’ll always see a warm and sincere smile from Mrs. Nixon as she greets the children and helps them to feel welcome and important.
